Details

    1. All participants will be required to wear masks everywhere inside the hotel except when in guest rooms or while dining.  This is a requirement issued by the City of Baltimore and is currently in effect.  Vision Conference leaders will monitor this policy for any changes before the conference.  We don’t anticipate this requirement changing.
    2. All participants will be encouraged to room with others from their location and have an opportunity to preference roommates by contacting their local Bridges Staff.
    3. Testing – All attendees are required to test for COVID-19 prior to arrival at the conference.
      • Attendees must complete a test within the 72 hours prior to arriving at the conference.  For most participants who will arrive on the afternoon of December 28, this means the testing window is the afternoon of December 25 through the afternoon of December 28.  If you are traveling to the conference in group transportation such as a campus bus or van, please complete your test in the 72 hours before boarding the vehicle.
      • Attendees are responsible for arranging for their own COVID-19 test.
      • Any FDA approved test may be used.  This includes self-administered antigen tests.  Be aware that the 72 hours prior to the conference includes the Christmas holiday and a weekend.  Lab administered tests will be difficult to complete during this time.  For this reason, we suggest purchasing a home self-test kit ahead of the conference.  Depending on where you live, supplies may be limited or inconsistent.  Buy a test kit today and hold it until right before the conference!  Here is an example of an approved home test.
      • Attendees must confirm that they have a negative (no COVID-19) test result in order to attend.  They will confirm their test result by electronic form before arriving at the conference.  Vision staff will not administer or read tests.

    4. Attendees should follow the Self Screening Guidelines that are addressed in the Health Questionnaire before and during the event.
    5. Masks and sanitizer will be provided throughout the conference area.  However, we ask that you come prepared with your own masks that are comfortable for you.
    6. The Baltimore Hilton continues to take COVID-19 precautions throughout their hotel.  More details can be found here.
